A quick scouting report on Michigan (5-5, 1-5), which will travel to Camp Randall Stadium to take on the University of Wisconsin football team (7-2, 4-2) in a Big Ten Conference game Saturday at 11 a.m.

Coach: Rich Rodriguez, second season, 8-14 overall, 3-11 in league play.

Record: 5-5 overall, 1-5 Big Ten. The Wolverines have lost three straight games and five of their last six.

Poll position: Michigan is unranked.

Last week: Purdue's Joey Elliott, who a week earlier completed only 5-of-23 passes in a 37-0 loss to UW, threw for 367 yards and two touchdowns -- he ran for another -- in the Boilermakers' 38-36 victory over Michigan in Ann Arbor. Click link at left to watch video highlights.

Key player: The Wolverines' defense has struggled, but one of the bright spots has been senior defensive end Brandon Graham, who is second in the Big Ten with 17 tackles for loss. Only UW senior defensive end O'Brien Schofield (18½) has more.

By the numbers: The Wolverines lead the Big Ten in scoring offense (32.0) and rushing offense (208.3), are third in total offense (404.0) and ninth in pass offense (196.7). Michigan is seventh in scoring defense (26.4), 10th in pass defense (235.0), seventh in rushing defense (158.3), and eighth in total defense (393.3).

Talented tandem: Michigan is the only team in the Big Ten with two players among the Top 10 rushers in the league. Seniors Brandon Minor and Carlos Brown have combined for 954 yards and 12 touchdowns this season. Minor rushed for 154 yards and three touchdowns against Purdue.

Quality victory drought: By the time the Wolverines take the field Saturday, it will have been 42 days since their last victory over a Football Bowl Subdivision opponent. That came on Sept. 26, when Michigan rallied to beat visiting Indiana 36-33. The Wolverines' only victory since then came against Delaware State of the Football Championship Subdivision.

Series with UW: The Wolverines lead 49-12-1, including 21-5-1 in Madison.

Last meeting: The Wolverines rallied from a 19-point halftime deficit to stun the Badgers 27-25 last season in Ann Arbor. Philip Welch kicked four field goals in the first half as UW, which was ranked No. 9 in the nation at the time, built a 19-0 lead, but Michigan answered with the next 27 points. UW scored with 13 seconds remaining on a 22-yard pass from Allan Evridge to David Gilreath and appeared to tie the game with a successful two-point conversion on a pass from Evridge to tight end Travis Beckum. But UW was flagged for having an ineligible receiver because Beckum lined up illegally.

TV: Saturday's game, an 11 a.m. start, will be televised by Big Ten Network.
