OFFENSE

John who? Montee Ball and James White have been as good or better than John Clay. Scott Tolzien is the master of the play-action pass. Nick Toon, David Gilreath and Lance Kendricks weren't just open, they were wide open.

DEFENSE

B+  The outcome was decided early, in part because UW had five takeaways in the first half, three of them forced by J.J. Watt. If Watt isn't an All-American, the team has no credibility. Aaron Henry is turning into a playmaker as well.

SPECIAL TEAMS

B  The kickoff coverage was shaky even before Venric Mark took one back 94 yards for a score. David Gilreath has become a dynamic returner. Brad Nortman's first punt was downed on the 4. Watt blocked an extra point.

OVERALL

A-  UW had to win to claim a share of the Big Ten title and keep its Rose Bowl hopes alive. The second priority was to look good doing it and UW hit a home run all fronts. The Badgers are playing as well as any team in the nation.
