Senior Cici Rindy scored 20 points Thursday night to lead the hot-starting Waunakee girls basketball team to a 62-48 victory over visiting Janesville Parker in non-conference play.

Sophomore Melanie Watson scored 12 points and junior Caitlyn Kesilewski had all 10 of her points in the first half as Waunakee (14-6) opened a 35-13 lead.

For Parker (7-12), junior Brooke Graesslin had 14 points.

Onalaska 62, DeForest 38

Sophomore guard Lexi Miller scored 19 points and her sister, Kenzie, had 13 points to lead the host Hilltoppers (16-3) past the Norskies (7-13).

Onalaska led by 20 points at halftime of the non-conference game.

Lexi Miller, a 5-foot-10 sophomore guard, scored nine of her 19 points in the decisive first half. Kenzie Miller added 10 points for Onalaska (16-3), which is ranked sixth in Division 2 in this week’s Associated Press poll.

Onalaska shot 18-for-35 from the field and 9-for-13 from the free throw line.

Aleah Grundahl led DeForest (7-13) with nine points.

Clinton 73, McFarland 72

Hannah Welte scored 22 points, making four 3-pointers, and Liz Kalk had 18 points, making 10 of 11 free throws, as the visiting Cougars (9-11, 7-9 Rock Valley) beat the Spartans (12-8, 11-5).

Katie Rounds scored 24 points and Gabi Runde had 21 points for McFarland.

Jefferson 47, Beloit Turner 32

Senior Callie Morrison finished with 13 points to lead the visiting Eagles (19-1, 15-1 Rock Valley) over the Trojans (10-9, 7-9).

Jefferson senior Parker Fetherston had 11 points.

Junior Mara Fowler led Turner with nine points.

Walworth Big Foot 68, Edgerton 34

Courtney Schoenbeck scored 21 points and Regan Courier had 15 points as the visiting Chiefs (12-5, 13-2 Rock Valley) cruised past the Crimson Tide (6-14, 4-12).

The win kept Big Foot one game behind Jefferson in the league standings.

Bethany Oren scored 18 points to lead the way for Edgerton.
