Distance and middle distance runner Mary Hanson of Dodgeville/Mineral Point plans to attend Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Ind.

Hanson was the anchor on the first-place 3,200 relay in Division 2 and finished second in the 800 meters at the 2014 WIAA state track and field meet. Hanson was the 400 champion at the Southwest Conference meet.

Hanson placed sixth at the 2014 WIAA D2 cross country meet.

Hanson was on the second-place 3,200 relay and the eighth-place 1,600 relay at the 2013 state meet.

She placed 66th when Dodgeville/Mineral Point won the D2 state cross country title in 2012.

She will become the third Hanson sister to run at an NCAA Division I university, according to WisconsinTrackOnline.com.

Hanson, a senior, has the fourth-fastest time (2:20.74) in the 800 in D2 so far this season, the fifth-fastest (5:11.99) in the 1,600 and the sixth-fastest (1:00.12) in the 400, according to WisconsinTrackOnline.com.
