Nearly three years after buying their used book business at 726 Rose St. on La Crosse’s North Side, Stephanie Johnson-Sanders and her parents are moving Book Revolution to the South Side.

Johnson-Sanders and her parents, Greg and Goldie Johnson, plan to open the store April 1 at its new location, a former hair salon at 2609 South Ave. This Thursday will be its last day open at the current location, said Johnson-Sanders, who manages the store.

“It’s a bigger location and we own the building,” Johnson-Sanders said of the reasons for the move. She and her parents bought the new location in February. They had been leasing the Rose Street site.

“We’ll have a little more room for genres where we were crowded, such as westerns, mysteries and science fiction,” Johnson-Sanders said. A grand opening will be held, probably in mid- to late April, she added.

Store hours will remain 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and closed Sunday and Monday. For more information, call the store at 608-782-2588.
