Long distance runners will take to numerous Madison streets Sunday during the running of the Madison Marathon and Half-Marathon, with the races affecting traffic all over town.

The full marathon takes in streets from Nakoma Golf Course to Warner Park, and the half marathon going from the Kohl Center to Warner Park.

The full marathon starts at 7 a.m. and the half marathon starts a few minutes later, both at the start/finish line on Mifflin Street at Wisconsin Avenue on Capitol Square.

Inbound East Washington Avenue will be closed at Blair Street from about 8 a.m. to noon, so drivers should make plans to take alternate routes.

The last runners are expected to finish up around 1:30 p.m. Police officers will be stationed all around the courses to assist with traffic.

Maps of both race routes are online at http://www.madisonmarathon.org/
