The Dane County area can expect up to another 5 inches of snow Sunday night through Monday morning.

Coming on the heels of a couple of nights of light snowfall, totaling 2.5 inches from Friday night through Saturday night, the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory Sunday night from 8 p.m. through Monday morning at 9 a.m. for Dane County and all its surrounding counties except Dodge.

"The Monday morning commute could be tough," Weather Central meteorologist James Conrad said. "That light fluffy snow can get packed down and make things really slippery. It could be an icy mess."

Sunday's temperatures should reach the mid-teens, much like Saturday, but then the temperatures will rise beginning Monday, where the high will be close to 20. By Tuesday, when there is a chance of another inch of snow, the mercury will push to the upper 20s. and then for the remainder of the work week temperatures will be in the 30s, according to the National Weather Service.
