Bummed out about Brett Favre's decision to play for the Minnesota Vikings, Rob Sax designed a black, Velcro armband with a silver number 4, which he sells on his website.
Sax, 40, president of a Madison marketing firm, has sold more than 4,000 armbands since the beloved Green Bay quarterback signed with the Packers' NFC North rival.
The bands sell for $5, with all proceeds benefiting the Milwaukee-based Wisconsin Breast Cancer Coalition. So far, Sax said the Mourn 4 venture has raised about $2,000 for the coalition.
Sax drove to Lambeau Field on Sunday, where he sold between 500 and 700 bands at the main entrance to the stadium. Instead of anger, Sax said he feels sadness about Favre's new role. "He's hurt his legacy," he said.
