The city of Madison will receive $370,000 for its MadiSUN project, whose goals are to double the use of solar energy over a two-year period, install 200 solar hot water systems by 2010, and reduce greenhouse gases by 25 percent by 2011.

The city of Milwaukee will get $650,000 for its Milwaukee Shines program to increase the number of solar installers and install more than 100 solar electric and 50 solar thermal systems.
