The Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of its awards for companies and individuals promoting a diverse and inclusive community in Wisconsin.

Alliant Energy's Dan Schoepke was named the advocate of the year for his consistent support of Alliant's employee resource group and his involvement in including LGBT business enterprises in the supplier diversity program.

Madison-based Fair Wisconsin was named Nonprofit Organization of the Year for its commitment to lobbying the state Legislature for policies that promote LGBT civil rights. 

The Froedtert & Mecical College of Wisconsin health network was awarded corporate partner of the year for its involvement in the first-ever Pride Night with the Milwaukee Bucks, serving as a founding member of the LGBT Chamber and engaging LGBT business enterprises. 

The LGBT business of the year is Accurate Web Solution of Green Bay, the allied business of the year is the Crowne Plaza Milwaukee Airport Hotel and the business leader of the year is Terri Coughlin of Coughlin Consulting in Milwaukee, the LGBT Chamber announced.

The awards will be presented at the LGBT Chamber's Anniversary Celebration and Business Showcase from Sept. 27 at the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino in Milwaukee.
