The gener8tor accelerator is starting a gBETA program in Detroit, through a partnership with Microsoft.

GBETA is a free, six-week mentorship program for early-stage, locally-rooted companies. The Detroit program will run up to three times a year, with five startups per session.

Microsoft also is helping to support gBETA programs in northeastern Wisconsin.

Gener8tor, a 12-week accelerator for more advanced companies, runs programs in Madison, Milwaukee and Minneapolis. The earlier-stage gBETA offers sessions in those three cities as well as northeastern Wisconsin, Beloit, and now Detroit.
