Register at Colectivo Coffee, 2530 Monroe St., and choose a 5K walk that meanders by Edgewood College and through Vilas Park near the zoo; or a 10K walk that rambles through the Arboretum and down Monroe Street. Kids in the Rotunda

Retreat from Black Friday shopping and find fun with the Cash Box Kings at Overture Center, 201 State St., during a special Kids in the Rotunda 9:30, 11 a.m., and 1 p.m. Friday. Geared toward children, the free program features the band’s 1940s and ’50s post-war blues sound and original music.

Spend the afternoon on a “Quest” of holiday-themed music with Oakwood Chamber Players 1 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Oakwood Center for Arts and Education, 6209 Mineral Point Road. Featuring “Snowman Suite,” “Angels in Flight,” and “Brother Heinrich’s Christmas,” the concert will have guest vocalists and musicians, along with a guest narrator.
