It’s unclear when an episode of “Iron Chef Showdown” featuring Madison chef Tory Miller will air on Food Network.

A spokeswoman for the network said Thursday that the episode featuring the L’Etoile chef, which was filmed last summer and had been scheduled to air Wednesday, will not run next week, either.

“On the record, I can share that unfortunately there was a scheduling change that impacted last night’s ‘Iron Chef Showdown’ episode,” Irika Slavin said.

She said she’s looking into why the show’s producers didn’t notify the contestants.

“It was human error,” Slavin said.

About 50 people turned out Wednesday night in the bar of Estrellón for a viewing party to watch Miller compete.

Miller said he will reschedule a sold-out, six-course, $125 dinner at L’Etoile planned for Sunday to celebrate his appearance on the show.

The network previously announced the title of the episode, “Battle Bobby Flay All Day,” billed as two “Midwestern master chefs” facing off “using one of the most versatile vegetables around.”

Slavin said the episode is definitely not on next week’s schedule.

She said she didn’t have information on when it might air.Read more restaurant news at go.madison.com/restaurantnews.
