If your New Year's resolution is to avoid calls from pesky telemarketers on your home or cell phone, Monday is the last day to sign up for the state's no-call list that goes into effect Jan. 1.
Anyone who signs up after Nov. 30 won't be on the list until April 1, the state Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection said in a news release.
If you've signed up in the past, don't forget that you must sign up every two years to stay on the list. If you can't remember whether you signed up within the last two years, you can sign up again to be sure you are not dropped from the list.
To place your number on the list, go here or call 1-866-9NO-CALL (1-866-966-2255). The website and toll-free number are available 24 hours a day.
