Hunters will be able to sight-in their guns at the Dane County Law Enforcement Training Center this fall, according to the Dane County Sheriff's Office.
The popular service will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. beginning Saturday and will be available daily through Friday, Nov. 20. Instructors will be available to provide assistance. And on Nov. 14 and 15, nurses from Meriter Hospital will be on hand to provide free health screenings between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Project ChildSafe has donated hundreds of free gun locks that will be available throughout the event.
The training center is between Interstate 39-90-94 and Waunakee at 5184 Highway 19. No appointment is necessary. A fee of $10 will be charged for the first gun and $5 for each additional gun. For more information, call training center staff at 608-849-2660.
