Family members of Wisconsin National Guard soldiers in Iraq will collect winter clothing for struggling veterans from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the guard armory at 1420 Wright St. in Madison.
The Family Readiness Group for 105th Cavalry, 32nd Brigade Combat Team, is requesting donations of new and slightly used coats, boots, hats, scarves, gloves and other warm clothing in large and extra large sizes, said Kelli George, volunteer leader for the family group. Clothing will be distributed by the Madison Vet Center and Porchlight Inc., George said.
The 105th has units in Madison, Fort Atkinson, Watertown and Reedsburg.
