A 24-year-old Sun Prairie man allegedly was driving drunk when he crashed his car into a tree, rolling it before hitting two parked vehicles and a building, Madison police reported.

The unidentified driver was injured in the crash that happened around 2:40 a.m. Saturday in the 3700 block of East Washington Avenue, police said.

Witnesses told police the driver was speeding and lost control before the crash.

"His car hit a tree, rolled over and slid on its roof until it struck two parked cars and a Midas automotive service center," said police spokesman Joel DeSpain.

Madison Fire Department responded to extricate the driver from the car. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
