A man who was found outside Friday morning on Madison's South Side died at a local hospital later in the day.
Madison police and fire units were called at about 8:30 a.m. Friday to 232 E. Olin Ave. for what appeared to be an intoxicated male, who was talking but was very hard to understand, said Police Chief Mike Koval in his daily blog on Saturday.
The 60-year-old man's body temperature was very low and he was taken to the hospital.
"His status quickly deteriorated and he expired," Koval said.
The medical examiner is investigating.
