Madison Police squad car tight crop

A sandwich shop on the Near West Side was robbed at gunpoint early Wednesday morning, with nobody hurt in the robbery.

The robbery took place at about 3 a.m. at Milio's Sandwiches, 2145 Regent St., Madison police said.

Three masked men, one armed with a handgun, entered the store, took cash and  fled on foot, heading south on Allen Street.

"A police dog was brought to the scene and attempted to pick up their trail, but no suspects were located," said police spokesman Joel DeSpain.

The suspects are black males in their late teens to early 20s, all wearing dark clothing, with two wearing black ski masks and the third wearing a silver mask from the bridge of the nose on down.
