A man stopped by police for a traffic violation was taken to jail after Middleton police allegedly found methamphetamine in his vehicle.

Jesse Dehaven, 35, of Madison, was arrested on a tentative charge of felony possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, Middleton police said.

The arrest came at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, when an officer made a traffic stop on Dehaven on the Beltline near Parmenter Street.

The officer saw a plastic bag in the vehicle, with the bag allegedly containing meth.
