The last of four men charged with the attack last year on former UW running back Montee Ball is in the Dane County Jail after being arrested in Chicago.
Karlis D. Griffin, 28, was arrested on a warrant last week, Madison police Detective David Gouran said. He said he did not know the details of his arrest. Griffin arrived in Dane County this week.
According to a criminal complaint, Griffin stomped on Ball's head while Robert Wilks, 22, kicked Ball's ribs. Ball was on the ground after being punched by Wendell Venerable, 22, the complaint states.
Wilks and Venerable pleaded guilty to felony battery and were placed in a first offenders program. Deonte Wilson, 22, who pleaded guilty to two misdemeanors, was also placed in first offenders.
Griffin has a prior felony battery conviction in Wisconsin.
In April, Ball was taken in the second round of the National Football League draft by the Denver Broncos.
