- In addition to a certain head of state, author Dave Eggers and
Time magazine reporter Mark Halperin will be in Madison today.
Halperin will discuss the Obama administration at 4:30 p.m. at the
Pyle Center. - UW
Communications
- UW Colleges and Extension Chancellor David Wilson is one of
three finalists for a job as president of Morgan State University
in Baltimore. -

- A proposal to create a student voting member on the city of
Madison's powerful Alcohol License Review Committee was rejected at
Tuesday's City Council meeting. But the council did approve the
addition of a citizen member, a spot that Mayor Dave Cieslewicz
said he would fill with a student. - The
