A 30-year-old Poynette woman was killed and four people injured Saturday in a two-vehicle crash in Columbia County.
The crash was on Highway 16 at Lewiston Station Road, about six miles east of Wisconsin Dells, the Sheriff's Office said. Roads were slush covered and light, freezing rain was falling at the time of the crash.
The investigation showed an eastbound minivan on Highway 16 spun and crossed the center line, getting hit by a westbound SUV.
The driver of the minivan died from injuries sustained in the crash, and the three passengers in the minivan were injured, including a 30-year-old woman and a 28-year-old woman, both from Portage, and a 27-year-old man from Sturtevant.
The Jeep driver, a 27-year-old woman from Portage, also was injured in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation. The identity of the fatal victim was not released pending notification of family.
