Six Wisconsinites chosen for White House internships

Six Wisconsinites, including two Madison natives, were named participants in the 2013 White House Internship Program Tuesday.

The program is intended to bring future leaders to the White House and give them experience working in one of several White House departments.

Local candidates accepted into the program include Sean McBride, of Madison, Harvard University; and Peter Subkoviak, of Madison, Johns Hopkins University.

Other accepted candidates from around the state include Samuel Bach, of Brown Deer, Winona State University; Alyssa Pronley, of Brookfield; New York University; Erin Simpson, of Menomonie, University of Chicago; and Debbie Thomas, of Slinger, UW-Madison.
