Madison's co-creative workspace for designers, writers and creators, 702WI, is opening its doors for a fun wintertime event with its inaugural 702WI Winter Market.

On Dec. 15 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. everyone is welcome to attend the free event at 702 E. Johnson St.

702WI opened in spring 2017 and was created by Reading Group Choices - a Madison based company that recommends books for reading group discussions.

The 702WI Winter Market will feature items from independent artists and businesses from the greater Madison area as well as other communities around the country. Attendees can enjoy crafts, food, art and the opportunity to purchase gifts.

There will be free pie and chocolate samples courtesy of Humble and Sjolinds Chocolate respectively and customers who make a purchase at the event will receive a free book from the 702WI bookshop as well as a coupon for Johnson Public House, 908 E. Johnson St.

Products from the retailers vary widely from minimalist jewelry to clothing made from natural fiber and home decor with a vintage flair.

Local vendors and partners include Zip-Dang, Wild Child and MAYHEM. Visiting vendors include Paper Bird Studio of Moscow, ID, The Postmodern of New York, NY, Traditional Hand Crafts of Santa, ID and Poppy+Pima out of Brooklyn, NY.
