Iron County authorities have released a 26-year-old Stevens Point woman on a $5,000 signature bond in a June 11 confrontation with mine workers at the site of Gogebic Taconite's proposed iron mine near Lake Superior.

Katie M. Kloth had her initial appearance in court Monday afternoon, Sheriff Tony Furyk said.

She faces a charge of robbery with use of force and three misdemeanors. Kloth wrestled a camera away from a mine worker.

A videotape that surfaced last week showed a half-dozen or more masked men and women running into the test drilling site and shouting profanely at workers.

Furyk said he is continuing to investigate and to attempt to identify others in the video clip.
