When I read things like this: "Will you help us seize this moment and raise $500,000 before the GOP Leadership election Thursday? Let’s defeat Republicans like McConnell and tear apart the Republican Party!" I get so infuriated.
Elections are not supposed to be about who has the most money. Elections are supposed to be for the people by the people -- the way our forefathers intended.
There are much better uses for all the dollars spent on elections, such as homeless families, education and going green. Instead of putting so much effort in to raising money, perhaps more effort should be put in to getting every eligible voter registered and getting them to the polls.
