Brett Favre proved he was the class act we have known him to be for 16 years in Green Bay Sunday.
Many saw tears as he entered the field and heard his voice choke during the interview at the end. It was clear he cared about his former teammates as he watched the monitor when his friend Donald Driver was injured. And when Greg Jennings went down, Favre was there with encouragement.
I understand the feeling of being jilted that led to boos. But remember, it was Ted Thompson who traded Favre and Mike McCarthy who said he wouldn't have his bitterness in the locker room. When the Vikings came courting, who can blame a guy who wanted to play and is showing us that he still can?
Favre will always be a Packer at heart, but management didn't want him. The fact that many of us still wanted him in green and gold, no slight to Aaron Rodgers, is hopefully something he felt even when too many in the crowd gave him another message.
