I've lived in Madison since 1963, when there were few problems with bicycles. Problems grew as cycling increased. We all need to watch out for the children. But "adult children" are teaching their kids lousy manners and setting poor examples.
I can count on one hand my positive experiences with bicyclists. They violate traffic laws, are arrogant and blame auto drivers for everything.
Are there only a few "bad" riders? Perhaps. But those few have painted the rest with the same brush. It's incumbent on all riders to see that those arrogant, insolent attitudes change. Clean up your own house.
