Thanks for your front page article exposing the misdirected voter registration forms being mailed out by the Republican Party.
It should be pointed out that the Legislature recently made it harder to register in five ways. Act 23, otherwise known as the photo ID bill, eliminated corroboration in lieu of proof of residence; it virtually eliminated using university housing lists as proof of residence; it eliminated registration on the three days nearest Election Day; and it eliminated statewide special registration deputies. A later act eliminated the mandate for special registration deputies at high schools.
Will next year's Legislature continue this trend?
