Americans' selfishness and greed is being exploited by the Trump administration.

The tax debate is being manipulated to focus on groups getting a tax reduction -- for now. Less taxes for the wealthy is a given. The rest of us seek answers to tax questions so we can minimize our tax bill. And 13 million people are frantically searching for access to health insurance.

U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Janesville, proudly predicts the average American is going to like the plan because his or her taxes will be going down. I don’t hear a word from Ryan's mouth saying how the tax bill is taking health care insurance from millions of people. Nor do I hear from many Americans concerned about the loss of insurance for many of their fellow citizens.

Shame on all of us for allowing billionaires to reap more billions to increase their influence in elections. How long will it take for the Trump/Ryan sham to be seen for what it is?

In the meantime, our selfishness and greed will come back to us in ways that will be unexpected. “As you sow, so shall you reap.”
