The University of Wisconsin football team capped a great 2017 season with an impressive 34-24 victory over the University of Miami in the Orange Bowl.

Wisconsin's coaches and players showed great determination and resilience in engineering a hard fought, come from behind victory. Congratulations to everyone associated with the Wisconsin football program.

As impressive as the victory was, the way the Badgers coaches and players conducted themselves on the field and after the game was equally impressive. To a person they showed sportsmanship and professionalism. On the field the Badgers didn't get caught up in Miami's taunting or sideline antics. After the game, each player interviewed credited the victory to the many contributions of his teammates.

Then during the Orange Bowl trophy award ceremony, coach Paul Chryst noted that what he loved about his team is how hard they play for each other and how that leads to team success. Many teams talk about teamwork, but few achieve it.

The Badgers football team exemplifies teamwork, and coach Chryst deserves most of the credit. Thank you, coach Chryst, for building a football program all Badgers fans can be proud of.
