The observance of Veterans Day is an excellent opportunity to thank all veterans for their dedicated service to preserve our freedoms and our way of life.
These many brave service personnel were special people and need to be honored each and every day. We must thank God for our brave veterans who participated in all of our wars over the years for their selfless and devoted service.
An excerpt from the poem "It Is The Soldier," written by Charles M. Province, says a lot about our brave veterans:
It is the Soldier, not the minister
who has given us freedom of religion. ...
It is the Soldier, not the poet
who has given us freedom of speech. ...
It is the Soldier, not the politician
Who has given us the right to vote.
It is the Soldier who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag.
Thanks to all veterans everywhere.
