Bringing Foxconn and jobs to Wisconsin is a desirable goal. But how are we to be sure the deal negotiated by Gov. Scott Walker is a good one for the taxpayers of our state?
Clearly, Gov. Walker is desperate for Foxconn to locate here, believing it will help get him re-elected. I’m not a business person, but it seems obvious this is not a good position for negotiating the best deal for the state. Gov. Walker is putting the taxpayers on the hook for $3 billion.
Is this really a good deal deal for the state taxpayers or a boondoggle? I’m afraid Gov. Walker was outfoxed, and the rest of us are being conned.
