I agree it is very important for the Madison School Board to support special education programs in schools.
It is especially important to have an increased number of special education assistants, because that will improve the quality of education given to students. From kindergarten through high school, the impact of more assistance in education can create stronger bonds between student and teacher. This bond can create a safe space for comfort for those with special needs, and thus a stronger education.
A solid education for all students -- those with special needs or without -- is essential for success. The impact on not only the students but the staff will strengthen the teaching and the connection between school and student.
The special education program is of vital importance to students' well being. Despite a disability, all students are entitled to a solid education that will set them up for success in life.
