University of Wisconsin safety D'Cota Dixon has been granted a medical hardship wavier after playing in just three games during the 2014 season, per a UW official.

The Badgers have expected Dixon to regain a year of eligibility for some time, but the official process was only recently completed.

The second-year starter at strong safety is now a redshirt junior, rather than a senior, and can play for UW in 2018.
