Newly promoted University of Wisconsin quarterbacks coach Jon Budmayr will earn $150,000 this season, per his employment agreement that was released to the State Journal on Monday.
Budmayr, a former Badgers quarterback, has already spent the past three years working with the position at UW as a graduate assistant and quality control assistant.
The NCAA's decision to allow FBS teams to hire a 10th assistant coach this offseason paved the way for Budmayr to earn the official title of quarterbacks coach.
Budmayr played for UW from 2009-10 before injuries forced him to retire. He spent the 2012 and 2013 seasons as a student assistant for the Badgers.
UW continues to search for another hire to replace outside linebackers coach Tim Tibesar, who left the program to become the defensive coordinator at Oregon State.
