Kristen Campbell has a hat trick of Western Collegiate Hockey Association monthly awards.
The University of Wisconsin women's hockey goaltender earned her third goaltender of the month award in as many months Wednesday when she was selected for the December honor.
Campbell, a redshirt sophomore who transferred from North Dakota, stopped 76 of 78 shots in going 4-0 in December.
For the season, she has the nation's best record (21-1), and is second-best in save percentage (.948) and goals-against average (1.00).
She also won WCHA goaltending awards for September/October and November.
Minnesota freshman Grace Zumwinkle was named the WCHA offensive player of the month, while Bemidji State senior Alexis Joyce earned the defensive honor and Beavers defenseman Mak Langei was named the top rookie.
Top-ranked UW returns from a four-week absence by hosting Minnesota State on Jan. 13 and 14.
