When, where: 8 tonight and 7 Saturday night, Kohl Center.

Radio: 1310 AM, with Posick and Ian Perrin on Friday, Mike Heller and Perrin on Saturday.
Badgers (14-13-4, 8-9-3-1 Big Ten)
Coach: Associate head coaches Mark Osiecki and Mark Strobel are running the team in the absence of Tony Granato, who is coaching the U.S. Olympic men’s hockey team.
Player to watch: Sophomore center Trent Frederic scored two goals and had an assist in two games when the Badgers played at Minnesota in December. He has scored goals in six of his past seven contests.
You should know: Saturday’s game is the second-earliest date on the calendar UW has finished its slate of regular-season home games in its 55-season modern era. The only earlier closing was on Feb. 6, 1988, against Minnesota. ... The Badgers have gone 15 games since last winning more faceoffs than their opponent, Nov. 25 against Mercyhurst.
Coach: Don Lucia, 454-244-72 in his 19th season at Minnesota, 733-399-101 in his 31st season overall.
Player to watch: Junior forward Tyler Sheehy, the defending Big Ten Conference Player of the Year, leads the Gophers with four goals in 10 games since Dec. 29 but he is on a three-game streak without a point.
You should know: Minnesota is 6-4 since returning from its December break, but the Gophers have had to rely on their defense to even be above .500 in that stretch. And here’s something for the bizarro file, at least compared to the perceived strengths of the programs: For the season, Minnesota is 45th nationally in scoring while UW is 12th. The Gophers have the 13th-best defense while the Badgers’ is 30th.
