The University of Wisconsin women's hockey team is back as the unanimous No. 1 team in the national rankings.
The Badgers were first on all 15 ballots in the USCHO.com Division I women's poll Monday and will start the postseason in the No. 1 spot.
UW returned to the No. 1 spot last week after a week as No. 2. It was a unanimous pick for the top position in 11 straight polls, from Oct. 30 to Jan. 29.
The Badgers swept No. 7 Minnesota at LaBahn Arena last weekend, making it the first time in the program's 19-year history that UW has won all four regular-season meetings with the Golden Gophers.
Defending national champion Clarkson is No. 2, with Boston College, Colgate and Cornell rounding out the top five.
Ohio State and Minnesota from the Western Collegiate Hockey Association stayed at Nos. 6 and 7, respectively.
The Badgers have a first-round bye in the WCHA playoffs and next play in the Final Face-Off semifinals on March 3 in Minneapolis.
