The Washington Redskins announced Tuesday that they’ve signed former Wisconsin Badgers quarterback Joel Stave and offensive lineman Jerry Ugokwe to the practice squad and released quarterback Alek Torgersen from the unit, according to this story.
Stave, 24, signed a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent in May 2016, but was waived at the start of the regular season before signing on to the Vikings’ practice squad.
The Vikings cut Stave last November and he later signed on to the Seahawks’ practice squad after clearing waivers. Stave later was released by the Seahawks and ended the season on the Kansas City Chiefs’ practice squad.
Kansas City cut Stave before the start of this season.
