From the opening tipoff, Madison East senior Keshawn Justice was on point Thursday night.

The Santa Clara recruit dominated play on both ends, finishing with 34 points, 23 rebounds and five blocked shots to lead the Purgolders past visiting Madison West 78-64 in Big Eight Conference play.

The victory helped the Purgolders (12-6 overall, 9-5 Big Eight) extend their winning streak to six games.

Sophomore Anthony Washington recorded a double-double of his own for the Purgolders (12-6, 9-5) with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Fellow sophomore Keonte Jones scored 10 points.

Sophomore Dayne Armwald led West with 21 points.

Junior Troy Reeves Jr. scored 15 points to lead the Lancers (16-3, 12-3 Big Eight) over the host Wildcats (9-10, 6-9).

Junior Dre Smith scored 12 points for Madison La Follette, which moved into sole possession of second place in the conference with its victory and Memorial’s loss to league champion Sun Prairie on Thursday.

Senior Bui Clements led Verona with 19 points.
