The host McFarland boys basketball team survived two potential game-winning shot attempts by Beloit Turner to take a 50-49 victory over the Trojans in a Rock Valley Conference game Friday night.

Junior Trevon Chislom scored 16 points for the Spartans (9-3, 8-1 Rock Valley), who remained in a first-place tie with East Troy in the conference race by beating the Trojans (9-4, 7-2).

Brady Butler added 12 points for McFarland.

Senior Sereno Ferone had 16 points to lead Turner.

Evansville 81, Walworth Big Foot 71

Zach Mielke scored 20 points and Sulley Geske added 17 points as the host Blue Devils (6-6, 5-4 Rock Valley) beat the Chiefs (2-10, 0-9).

Evansville took an 11-point lead into the break.

Logan Eischeid made five 3-pointers and finished with 26 points and Max Hildebrandt added 15 points for Big Foot.

Edgerton 62, Jefferson 49

The host Crimson Tide (9-2, 7-2 Rock Valley) remained one game out of a share of the conference lead with a convincing victory over the Eagles (4-7, 3-6).

Wisconsin Dells 89, Westfield 50

Senior Alex Weiss scored 14 points to lead the host Chiefs (11-0, 5-0 South Central Conference) over the Pioneers (6-6, 2-3).

Senior Tanner Brandt added 12 points for Wisconsin Dells.

Senior Nick Brakebush scored 16 points for Westfield.

Platteville 59, River Valley 41

Donovan Blevins finished with 14 points as the host Hillmen (11-3, 4-1 Southwest Wisconsin Conference) topped the Blackhawks (7-5, 4-1).

Junior Connor Riley scored 13 points to help Platteville.

Senior Brett Nachreiner led River Valley with nine points.

Richland Center 66, Dodgeville 60

The Hornets (6-6, 2-4 Southwest Wisconsin) held off the Dodgers (5-7, 2-3).
