Teams from the Big Eight Conference hold the top two positions on both the Division 1 boys and girls lists of the Wisconsin Cross Country Coaches Association weekly state rankings, determined by vote of member coaches.

On the Division 1 boys list, defending WIAA state champion Madison West and Middleton retained the top two stops. Madison La Follette slipped one place to No. 9, and Monona Grove and Sun Prairie earned honorable mention.

In the Division 1 girls poll, defending WIAA state champ Sun Prairie remained in the No. 1 ranking, and Janesville Craig climbed four spots from No. 6 up to No. 2. Stoughton, Madison West and Middleton earned honorable mention.

In the Division 2 boys rankings, Dodgeville/Mineral Point moved up one spot to No. 3, Monroe climbled one place to No. 7 and McFarland jumped four places to No. 10. East Troy earned honorable mention.

In the Division 2 girls poll, Wisconsin Dells held on to its No. 2 ranking, trailing Freedom. East Troy climbed four places to No. 3, Jefferson slipped one place to No. 6, Lake Mills moved up a spot to No. 7. Watertown Luther Prep, Prairie du Chien and McFarland earned mention.

The Darlington boys held on to their No. 1 ranking in Division 3, and Marshall and Boscobel earned honorable mention. The Auburndale girls replaced Darlington atop the Division 3 rankings, as the Redbirds slipped to No. 4. Dodgeland moved up three spots to No. 2, Palmyra-Eagle slipped a spot to No. 5, Lancaster jumped five spots to No. 7 and Marshall moved up two spots to No. 8.
