Senior C.J. Harkins produced two goals and had two assists Tuesday night as the host Sun Prairie boys hockey team opened the Ground Hog Tournament with a 6-2 victory over last year’s runner-up, Madison Memorial.
The Cardinals (15-2-1, 9-2 Big Eight Conference), who will meet Waunakee in a semifinal at 6 p.m. Friday, got a goal and two assists from sophomore Kaden Brunson.
Nick Statz and Will Boyle scored goals for Memorial (8-8-2, 5-6).
Waunakee 5, DeForest co-op 1
Senior Jeremy Werner scored two goals and had two assists as the Warriors (9-9-1, 5-1-1 Badger North) beat the Norskies (3-14, 0-7) in the Ground Hog Tournament. Senior Trent Bachman netted a goal for DeForest. Junior Mason Ihrke scored two power play goals for Waunakee.
Oregon 4, Monona Grove 3
Junior forward Zak Roskos scored the go-ahead goal at 11:51 in the third period to send the Panthers (14-4-0, 8-1-0 Badger South) to a Ground Hog Tournament victory over the Silver Eagles (4-12-1, 3-6-1).
Senior Tyson Rohrer tallied a goal and an assist for the Panthers, who will meet the defending champion Waukesha co-op at 8:15 p.m. Friday.
Juniors Michael Zande and Brady Gerothanas scored for the Silver Eagles.
Madison West 6, Beloit Memorial 1
Drake Baldwin had a hat trick as the Regents (13-4-2, 8-2-0 Big Eight) topped the host Purple Knights (4-13-0, 2-10-0). Sam Loving scored two goals for West.
Reedsburg co-op 5, La Crosse Aquinas co-op 2
Dylan Brown netted a hat trick and added an assist as the host Cheavers (13-5-1) beat the Avalanche (15-3) in non-conference play. Derek Pawlak scored two goals and added an assist for Reedsburg.
Sun Prairie co-op 8, Mauston co-op 0
The Cap City Cougars (12-5-1, 4-2-0 Badger) scored four first-period goals in a little more than three minutes to beat the Badger Lightning (0-13-0, 0-8-0).
Colleen Milligan and Margo Thousand each had one goal and three assists for Sun Prairie.
Waunakee 99, Baraboo 70
The host Warriors captured nine of the 11 events, besting the Thunderbirds in a Badger North dual. Freshman Zach Vinson, senior Jackson Madonia and senior Emory Lietz each won two individual races.
Madison Edgewood 93, Stoughton 77
The fifth-ranked Crusaders topped the visiting Vikings in a Badger South dual. Truman teDuits, Alex Moen and Nate Frucht each won a pair of races for Edgewood.
Monona Grove 117, Milton 53
The host Silver Eagles won 11 events, defeating the Red Hawks in a Badger South dual. Ben McDade and Eric Storms each won two individual events for Monona Grove.
Stoughton 50, Lodi 20
Luke Geister-Jones (182), Aodan Marshall (285), Alexander Wicks (106) and Hunter Lewis (126) each earned pins as the Vikings beat the host Blue Devils.
Brodhead/Juda 31, Belleville co-op 30
Brian McCullough and Jackson Hauri each scored victories to help the visiting Cardinals defeat the Wildcats. Max Gerner (132) earned a pin for Belleville.

Zach Wilfong (120) and Ehren Ezzell (170) each recorded pin victories as the visiting Demons topped the Falcons.
Johnson Creek 59, Orfordville Parkview 18
Seth Roberts and Kaleb Hartwig were among seven Bluejays to record pin victories against the visiting Vikings.

Noah Durst (152) and Joey Recob (170) each won by major decision as the Dodgers defeated the Hornets.

Justin Knoebl (145), Jack Diedrich (152) and Daniel Enlow (285) earned pinfall victories to help the Wildcats beat the visiting L-Cats. Ben Kalata (138) pinned his opponent for Lake Mills.
