Area hockey programs were little more than an afterthought in the second state rankings.

Verona, the only boys program mentioned, was one of five teams earning honorable mention beneath the Top Ten.

In the girls poll, the Fond du Lac co-op, which includes Beaver Dam, was ranked fifth, and the Sun Prairie co-op (the Cap City Cougars) was the only program to receive honorable mention.

Hudson was ranked No. 1 in both the boys and girls rankings. Eau Claire Memorial was ranked No. 2 in the boys poll and is part of the Eau Claire North girls co-op that was ranked No. 2.
