Beaver Dam junior point guard Paige Schumann has orally committed to Eastern Illinois for women’s basketball.

Eastern Illinois, an NCAA Division I program in Charleston, Illinois, is coached by Matt Bollant, formerly the coach at UW-Green Bay and University of Illinois.

Matt Wilke, co-coach at North Tartan-TRU, tweeted: “Proud to announce 2019 Paige Schumann of Beaver Dam High School and North Tartan-TRU has committed to Matt Bollant and Eastern Illinois.”

Madison Memorial's Owen Greene makes college choice 

Madison Memorial senior Owen Greene has announced via Twitter that he has orally committed to play baseball at St. Norbert College in De Pere.

Greene is a catcher.

He tweeted: “I am very happy to announce that I will be furthering my academic and baseball career at St. Norbert College.”

Madison Edgewood honors Estella Moschkau

Madison Edgewood last week honored former Crusaders girls basketball standout Estella Moschkau’s for her high school accomplishments and retired her No. 12 jersey. The jersey will be in Edgewood’s trophy case.

Moschkau is a freshman on the Stanford women’s basketball team.
