Led by brothers Lukas Heckmann and Isaac Heckmann, the Lakeside Lutheran boys golf team edged Lodi by two strokes and Cambridge by six to win the Capitol Conference tournament on Wednesday at The Oaks of Cottage Grove.
Junior Lukas Heckmann shot an even-par 71 and senior Isaac Heckmann shot 73 for Lakeside, tying for runner-up honors with Columbus sophomore Austin Leitha.
Senior Canyon Bacon and junior Brett Brownrigg each shot 78 for Lodi. Cambridge senior Ryan Janson shot 75.
Southwest Wisconsin Conference
With its top five players shooting 87 or better, the Platteville boys shot a four-man 324 total to beat runner-up River Valley by 46 strokes in the conference tournament at Reedsburg Country Club.
Cade Rohrbach shot 75 and Ethan Suits 76 to lead Platteville. River Valley got an 86 from Cole Price.
Rock Valley Conference
With four players among the top seven overall, Edgerton dominated the conference tournament at Riverside Golf Course in Janesville, scoring 316 to runner-up Beloit Turner’s 370 and McFarland’s 375.
Kyle Wille and Joe Forsting tied for medalist honors at 4-over-par 76, and Jacob Fox shot 80. McFarland was led by Jake Scheffeel’s 90 and Jefferson was led by Alan Albrecht’s 82.
Madison Abundant Life/Madison Country Day shot 355 for an 11-stroke win over Williams Bay in the league tournament at Mascoutin Golf Course in Berlin.
Jack Rollins earned the medalist honor for the Challengers, shooting 79 to finish one stroke ahead of teammate Boomer Zierath. Pardeeville finished fifth in the seven-team standings. Markesan shot 361 to win the Trailways North title.
In the annual Ryder Cup-style tournament pitting Badger North teams against their counterparts in the South standings, the South earned a 13-11 victory.
No. 1 teams Madison Edgewood (South) and Waunakee (North) battled to a 1.5-1.5 draw. South winners were Monona Grove over Baraboo; Watertown over DeForest; and Stoughton over Sauk Prairie. North winners were Reedsburg over Oregon; Beaver Dam over Fort Atkinson; and Mount Horeb over Milton. Monroe and Portage played to a draw.
Marshall 6, Wisconsin Heights 1
Bailey Neuberger and Samira Arvin hit home runs as the Cardinals (11-4 overall, 8-0 Capitol South) clinched the league championship, beating the host Vanguards (7-2, 6-2) in Mazomanie.
Waunakee 6, Beaver Dam 3 (8)
Ally Ronk pitched a complete game, allowing three earned runs, and the Warriors (9-7, 8-4 Badger North) scored three runs in the eighth inning to beat the host Golden Beavers (10-2, 10-2).
Madison Memorial 14, Madison East 0 (5)
Iza Curtin was 4-for-5 with a triple and Camryn Decker went 2-for-4 to lead the visiting Spartans (6-12, 4-10 Big Eight) past the Purgolders (2-14, 2-14).
Poynette 10, Lakeside Lutheran 3
Lizzie Schwenn was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and Mattie Bredeson hit a two-run home run to lift the host Pumas (17-1 overall) over the Warriors (8-6).
Mineral Point 11, Boscobel 3
Dana Schmitz pitched a complete game, allowing one earned run, and went 3-for-3 with two RBIs as the host Pointers (12-4) beat the Bulldogs (11-3).
Middleton 13, Beloit Memorial 2 (5)
Carsen Schulz was 3-for-3 with three RBIs and Nolan Kelliher went 3-for-4 with three RBIs to lift the Cardinals (16-5, 13-3 Big Eight) over the host Purple Knights (4-12, 4-11).
Waunakee 9, Sauk Prairie 2
Ben Nordloh pitched 6⅓ innings, striking out nine and Derek Lee was 3-for-4 with three RBIs as the ninth-ranked Warriors (12-4, 9-1 Badger North) took down the visiting Eagles (11-7, 6-6).
Lakeside Lutheran 13, Lodi 3 (6)
Dustin Pampel went 2-for-2 with a double and triple, driving in five runs, to propel the host Warriors (8-3, 4-3 Capitol North) over the Blue Devils (3-9, 2-5) in the first game of a doubleheader. Darkness suspended Game 2 with Lakeside Lutheran leading Lodi 7-6 in the top of the seventh inning.
Edgerton 4, Evansville 3 (8)
Adam Loveland hit an RBI single with two outs and the bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth inning, completing a two-run rally that lifted the Crimson Tide (5-10, 5-9) over the Blue Devils (13-5, 10-5) in Rock Valley Conference play.
The previous hitter, Dan Zeimet, tied the game with an RBI single. Evansville took a 3-2 lead on an RBI double by Dayne Acker in the top of the eighth.
Edgerton also scored in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game, on a single by Jaden Johnson.
Jefferson 9, Walworth Big Foot 2
Ian Drays went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run to push the host Eagles (12-8, 12-3 Rock Valley Conference) past the Chiefs (6-11, 6-10).
Fennimore 14, Mineral Point 13
Trevor Neuroth was 2-for-4 with two RBIs as the Golden Eagles (12-4, 8-1 SWAL Conference) edged the visiting Pointers (12-4, 10-2). For Mineral Point, Liam Stumpf hit a home run and Joe Dolphin hit two homers, including a grand slam.
Lodi 3, Watertown Luther Prep 1
Savannah Curtis scored two second-half goals as the visiting Blue Devils (10-3-0, 4-1-0 Capitol) defeated the Phoenix (8-3-1, 2-2-1).
Madison Memorial 4, Beloit Memorial/Turner 1
The Spartans (5-4-0 overall, 4-3-0 Big Eight) downed the Knitro (8-7-1, 2-5-1) at Madison College.
Track and field
The Madison East boys and the Madison Memorial girls each won seven relay events to capture team titles in the relay meet between the city’s four public schools.

The Golden Beavers swept the doubles matches to edge the host Warriors.
