Mount Horeb boys soccer coach Mark Newman was named the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association Division 3 coach of the year.

The Vikings earned the WIAA Division 3 state title with a 2-1 victory over Delavan-Darien.

Other coaches recognized were Hartland Arrowhead’s Jeff Staus in Division 1; Whitefish Bay’s Rob Dubinski in Division 2; and Sturgeon Bay’s Todd Maas in Division 4.

Arrowhead fell in the Division 1 final, dropping a 2-1 decision to Milwaukee Marquette. Whitefish Bay defeated Oregon 6-1 in the Division 2 title match. Racine Prairie School edged Sturgeon Bay 1-0 in the Division 4 championship game.
