Stoughton's Tyler Dow wins the 160-pound title at the Cheesehead Invitational

Stoughton senior Tyler Dow won the championship at 160 pounds in the 32-team, multi-state tournament in Kaukauna, helping the Vikings finish ninth in the team race.

Dow beat Matt Ortiz of Chicago Montini in the title match, 8-1, to improve his season record to 29-1.

Stoughton’s Gavin Miller took fourth at 220 pounds, and Brooks Empey took sixth at 182.

Milton’s Jerry Lipke finished fourth at 195 pounds.

Chicago Montini rolled to the team title, winning seven individual championships.

Lake Geneva Badger went 5-0 in the six-team, round-robin dual tournament, including a 36-30 victory over runner-up Monroe in the championship match.

Monroe had four unbeaten wrestlers: Patrick Rielly at 160, Sam Kind at 170, Dempzy Foley at 182 and Bodie Minder at 220.

Also going unbeaten were Watertown’s Edward Wilkowski at 120 and Keagan Hunter at 126, and Madison Memorial’s Kaden Reetz at 145.

Lodi Invitational

Lodi defeated Waunakee 38-34 in the championship match to win the six-team, round-robin, dual-meet invitational.

The Blue Devils' Garrett Moll (126) and Jacob Heyroth (182) both went 5-0 on the day, as Lodi went 4-1 with a 39-27 loss to Elkhorn spoiling the perfect day.

Waunakee also went 4-1. The Warriors had four unbeatens: Sam Lorenz at 106, Nick Schweitzer at 113, Berhett Statz at 120 and Zach Marek at 160.

Evansville's Nolan Kicmol went 5-0 at 152, and Janesville Craig's Keeanu Benton was 5-0 at 285.
